Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

 • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
 • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Four young men were discussing the merits of various translations of the Bible. Three of them mentioned specific versions of the Bible, but the fourth remaind silent.
When pressed for his opinion, he replied, "I like my mother's translation best. She translated it into life, and it was the most convincing translation I ever saw."

(JOHN 3; 20-21)
All those who do evil things hate the light and will not come to the light, because they do not want their evil deeds to be shown up. But those who do what is true come to the light in order that the light may show that what they did was in obedience to God.

It took me a couple reads to get it, but I like it. The Bible has such meaning when it is put into action. And which Bible you read is not nearly as important. As long as it is read AND implemented...that's what counts, regardless of whether you are a fledgling Christian or a learned theologian.

Ex 24:7 - http://bible.crosswalk.com/OnlineSt...age=ex+24:7&version=cjb&context=1&showtools=1Then he took the book of the covenant and read it aloud, so that the people could hear; and they responded, "Everything that ADONAI has spoken, we will do and obey."

De 5:27 - You, go near; and hear everything ADONAI our God says. Then you will tell us everything ADONAI our God says to you; and we will listen to it and do it.'
Romans 2:13 ...for not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the TORAH will be justified.

James 1:22-25
Don't deceive yourselves by only hearing what the Word says, but do it! For whoever hears the Word but doesn't do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror, who looks at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But if a person looks closely into the perfect Torah, which gives freedom, and continues, becoming not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work it requires, then he will be blessed in what he does
