  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Peace in Christ.

(1Ti 4:13) Until I come, give attendance to public reading (of the Scriptures), to exhortation, to the teaching.

The teaching method of attaching different scriptures from different areas of the Bible together (the meaning of “here a little, and there a little”) may bother some as some people were once annoyed with Isaiah .

But, we must overcome so we can enter in to understand lest we are left “outside” that understanding and it all sounds like the “stammering of lips” speaking things in “another language” so-to-speak to those who will not overcome.

(Isa 28:9 KJV) Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.

(Isa 28:10 KJV) For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:

(Isa 28:11 KJV) For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.

One must be swift to hear, slow to speak and slow to wrath… putting away the “waters” of contentions and strife….the “superfluidity” of evil that flows so easily out of the heart and out of the mouth. Let EVERY man be swift to hear and slow to speak, slow to wrath.

(Jas 1:19 KJV) Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
(Jas 1:20 KJV) For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
(Jas 1:21 KJV) Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

Hence, God said let the “waters” under the Heaven be gathered together unto one place.

The "waters under the Heaven"...the gathering together of the unbelievers and their evil words (the “superfluity” of wickedness).... He calls the “seas” as they will rage against what they hear as the churning of the angry seas that does not have rest.

But the “dry” also appears. These are the meek people who do not have the “waters” of contentions overflowing their hearts. They are the meek…with meekness they have laid apart all “filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness” and with meekness received the ingrafted Word.

Genesis 1:9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry appear: and it was so.

God called the dry land “Earth” for the meek (the dried heart of the evil waters of badness) shall inherit the Earth.

Gen 1:10 And God called the dry “Earth”; and the gathering together of the waters He called “Seas”: and God saw that it was good.

God calls the dry “Earth” as they are the meek who shall inherit the Earth. They shall have the abundance of peace while the wicked "seas" of men will not have peace.

(Psa 37:10 KJV) For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.
(Psa 37:11 KJV) But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
(Psa 37:12 KJV) The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.

Not so with the “seas” of angry people who become angry at the hearing of the sincere Word of God. There is no peace for the wicked who are like the troubled sea when it cannot rest.

The preaching of the faithful and true Word of God creates the “seas” as there will be angry “seas” of people who will rage in their hearts and words against what they will hear. They will cast us "mire and dirt" in their speaking of their many, many evil words.

(Isa 57:20 KJV) But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.
(Isa 57:21 KJV) There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.

The Spirit …as the dove Noah (“Noah” means “rest”) sent out….does not find a place to “rest” in the angry heart where the “waters” of contentions and strife are still covering the heart. There is no peace to be found in that heart...no "son of peace".

(Gen 8:8 KJV) Also he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground;
(Gen 8:9 KJV) But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him into the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth: then he put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in unto him into the ark.

Only after we have put away all of the “superfluity” of evil out of hearts will His Spirit of Truth find rest within our hearts where it is “dry”.

Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the “Earth”. Blessed are the “peacemakers” ….as signified by the dove coming to Noah with the olive leaf.

We know that the heart of a person is “dry” (that the waters of strife has abated from off the heart) when they make peace with those sent out by Him to speak His Word of Truth.

(Gen 8:11 KJV) And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf pluckt off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.

Hence, the peacemakers shall harvest abundance peace for doing so. The fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace (an olive leaf in the mouth so-to-speak).

(Jas 3:17 KJV) But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
(Jas 3:18 KJV) And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

The "dry" earth of the heart brings forth righteousness. It produces the fruit of righteousness as they put away all evil....the superfluity of evil...out of the dried heart.

(Gen 1:11 KJV) And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
