I find it equally possible and somewhat more probable that these guys with superpowerful computers and more time and (grant) money than they know what to do with could find such a code whether it exists or not. Admittedly I haven't read the books you mention, but it sounds a little fishy to me.

I believe the bible code is real. The first man to do this was a Jewish man by the name of Yacov Rambsel. He has Messianic Ministries in Texas. He did it first without a computer, and thought that it was easier to do it that way. He is pretty old. Grant Jeffrey did it later also.wannagohome said:Do any of you believe in the Bible Code? That God placed a secret code into the Bible that reveals certain things by computer? I read the 2 books, and thought it very interesting. What are your thoughts? Jen

In chapter 1 Habakkuk is shown a vision when Chaldeans will come against Israel. At chapter 2 he tells the LORD that he will get up on the tower -he is going to keep watch. God doesn't say -Hey, go do that Habakkuk -Warn the people as it any day now. Instead, God told him to write the vision down -make it plain - at the end it will speak.
Habakkuk would not be the one to run with the warning as in his day. He was told -that he may run that readeth it.
This prophecy is to come to pass when Habakkuk is not around. God placed it at the end. Then a Chaldean man that is proud, is as death and desires to be as hell will gather the nations. He will come at the end, at the time appointed.
a proud man
is as death
Hey, the 4th seal rider comes in with the name of death. Is this the ac? Yes!
Then -hell followed with him
a rider with two names
death and desires to be as hell
will gather the nations
Does the 4th seal show us without these clues from Habakkuk that the rider is the ac? Yes! He is shown with several ways to kill people and thus that means the sealing of the 144,000 has to occur right before his reign of terror.
They must be sealed before any of the seven trumpets can begin.
4th seal -Habakkuk's Chaldean proud man prophecy

I think it is just another gimmick to sell more books. I stack that one up next to the daVinci code. What are your thoughts?
Actually Ya'akov Ramsel was not the first to discover nor utilize the Bible Code. He was, however, the first to search for and find the Name of Yeshua (Jesus) encoded within the Hebrew Scripture. His most notable discovery was finding not only the Name of Yeshua in Isaiah 53, but also the names of everyone involved in His crucifixion, the disciples, The High Priest's name Caiphas, His mother's name, etc etc. And in the finding of the Name Yeshua, Ramsel found it to say "Yeshua Sh'mi" which means, "Yeshua is My Name".Big Mouth Nana said:I believe the bible code is real. In Yeshua...My Personal Journal said:It is said that Messiah was sacrificed from the foundation of the world (Revelation 13:8). Where then is this foundation to be seen? B'reshith (Genesis) 1:1: "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth". In Hebrew this is: "B'reshith bara Elohim eth hashamayim v'eth haaretz." ... ... We find therefore that the heavens (Hashamayim) and the earth (Haaretz) are brought together, reconciled, through V'ETH (Vav-Aleph-Thav), in the statement "hashamayim v'eth haaretz". Vav is the sign of the Nail, Vav is the number Six, meaning Flesh or Man. Aleph is the sign of the Ox, which is also a form of Peace-offering, Aleph is the number One, meaning God. Thav is the Sign of the Cross, Thav is the number Four Hundred, meaning: "Godhead in another manner." (compare to Colossians 2:9 "...fullness of the Godhead bodily.") By this we see God (1), as a Man, or in Flesh (6), being another manner of the Godhead (400), is Nailed (Vav) as a Peace Offering (Aleph) to the Cross (Thav). And when we do a permutation of V'ETH, via AL-BaTH, it becomes "Tzalav" (Tzadde-Lamed-Veyth <Beyth pronounced as "V">), meaning: "Crucify".
