Beware Pied Pipers

1 Thessalonians 5:1-3 ESV

“Now concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need to have anything written to you. For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.” ​

Prior to the world and national events of 2020, which have shaken the people of this earth to the very core, at least here in America things were fairly peaceful. Our lives here in America were still mostly normal. Most people were still going about their lives as usual, working their jobs, going to school, planning their futures, paying their bills, and attending their church gatherings. And, then everything changed suddenly, and without warning.

And, now our world has been turned upside down, and it is getting worse each day as time progresses. And, many people are afraid and/or they are angry or confused or distraught over what is going on, not knowing what is going to happen next.

Many are deceived, too – hypnotized by the media, and following the “pied piper” (1). He is a symbol of one who offers deceptive enticement, who makes irresponsible assurances, and who attracts followers after himself via his charismatic personality and his mind manipulation techniques.

So, who are these “pied pipers” among us? They are pastors of institutional churches. They are people in higher up positions within church denominations. And, they are TV evangelists, and those who call themselves prophets, apostles, and teachers of the word of God. They aren’t all pied pipers, mind you, but many of them are.

These “pied pipers” are also TV and internet news anchor people, and those in authority above them. And, they are leaders within our governments. They are also former leaders of governments, and CEOs of corporations, and people of power, wealth and influence in the business world and within institutional Christianity.

And, they have been, and many still are leading the people to their deaths by their deceptive allurements and their irresponsible promises, and by their charismatic and charming personalities and mind manipulation techniques. And, many of the people of America, at least, have been captivated by them and are following after these wolves in sheep’s clothing by the droves.

For, these “pied pipers” were giving the people messages of peace, and they still are, and they are telling those who profess faith in Jesus Christ, or who are considering belief in Jesus, that faith in Jesus means their sins are forgiven, they are now guaranteed heaven, but that they don’t have to turn from their lifestyles of sin and follow Jesus in obedience to his commands.

So, they have told them that if they just “believe” in Jesus that nothing bad will happen to them, for not only can they now continue living in sin without guilt, and can they be guaranteed heaven, but Jesus will remove them from the earth before anything gets bad, so that they won’t have to suffer. And, so they are completely unprepared for what we are now facing.

And, then you have the “pied pipers” who are now convincing people of all sorts of things to make them fearful, and to deceive them, because their goal is to lead them to follow after the beast New World Order and one world religion. And, so they have thrown our nation (America) and the world into chaos and turmoil so that they can come to us with a preconceived solution for our “problem” which they initiated. And, the solution is for us all to bow to the beast and to unify as one people of the entire world.

1 Thessalonians 5:4-8 ESV

“But you are not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief. For you are all children of light, children of the day. We are not of the night or of the darkness. So then let us not sleep, as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, are drunk at night. But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation.” ​

Nonetheless, for those of us who are walking by faith in Jesus Christ according to the Spirit, and no longer according to our flesh, these times should not be a surprise to us. They should not be taking us out. It doesn’t mean that we don’t grieve our present circumstances, but it means we are not surprised by them. We are not overtaken by them. We were ready, knowing that these days were coming, and where they were coming from, too.

So, when we see what is being presented to us in the news, we are not taking everything we see at face value, but we are testing everything we hear and everything we read and everything we see, because Satan is a liar and a deceiver, and he can fake anything, and I mean anything!

He can convince you that people are dying who didn’t die, or that things are happening that are not really happening. For, he has access to Hollywood, too. So, some of these videos you are being presented with in the news could be fake. And, the people you see in some of the videos could be paid actors just playing their roles in a sinister play. And, this is not something new. This has been going on for many years.

For, this is how they manipulate your minds so that you fall into their traps, for they want you angry. They want you afraid. They want you hating people and fighting people and wanting to see people dead. They want chaos and anarchy, for this is how they will take us over. So, don’t play into their hands. Pray!!! Ask the Lord to show you what is real and what is fake.

And, get away from so much social media and news so that you can spend that time with the Lord and so that you can hear him tell you what’s happening. And, don’t be living in secretive sin or you are not going to be able to hear the Lord. You have to be walking in purity with the Lord if you want to hear him clearly, so that you can have your minds and your hearts open to the truth of what is really going on right now in our nations.

And, on another note, I believe with all my heart that the Lord closed the doors to our institutional churches because they were a stench in his nostrils with all their hypocrisies and false teachings and worldliness and sexual immorality. For, they were leading God’s people astray with their messages of “peace and safety,” and they were leading them to their deaths.

So, now is the opportunity to reconnect with the Lord and with his true church, which is not a building or a business or a denomination of men but is the people of God with Jesus Christ as their only Lord. And, now is the time to hear from our Lord, and to follow his lead in what we are to do and how we are to respond to the events going on all around us. For, now is the time for us, as the people of God of America to wake up and to hear our Lord.

1 Thessalonians 5:9-11 ESV

“For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with him. Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.”​

It is true that God has not destined us for his wrath, for us to be judged as unbelievers, and for us to spend eternity in the fires of hell. But this doesn’t mean that everyone who says “Lord, Lord” is headed for heaven. For many will be told one day, “Depart from me! I never knew you!”

But the thing of it here is that they thought they knew Jesus and that he knew them, so they were surprised when they found out that they were wrong. So, don’t be deceived by the clever lies of those with the “peace and safety” messages but who lead you to believe that you can continue living in sin and it won’t matter to God. It does matter for eternity!

Watch out for the “pied pipers” of this world with their smooth tongues who are leading you astray with their many lies. But again, the only way you are going to be discerning about them is if you are living a life which is separate from the world and unto the Lord and if you are bathing your minds and your hearts with the truths of God’s holy word instead of with the ungodly messages of this sinful world.

So, please pray that the Lord will open your hearts to the truth.

Yes, I suggest the 'children' in the tale are meant to represent naive adults. And indeed this whole episode has emphasised to me the blindness of the many, being led enthusiastically down the road to perdition.

I know it's part of God's plan, and empathise all the more with Christ - he came to his own and they knew him not - but I've found it such a struggle through this to separate the sin (blindness/ the enemy's veil) and not judge the wilfulness and complicity of the sinner. Really, I'd hoped humanity, and especially the church, wasn't to have been so easily fooled.

An underlying insurgency that has been trying for decades to undermine a nation by using events such as this as a provocation to take it far beyond the scope of original intention in order to destroy from within? What we are seeing is an effort to use 'justice' as a means to bring down the system and rebuild it in their own image. Unfortunately unlike the rebellion that created that nation and constitution, these new factions are not united and will further disintegrate the country once having dismantled the present system as they squabble amongst themselves, and create the type of destabilization that was/is representative of the countries they call their roots. Welcome to third world rebellion. Welcome to a time when globalist saviours will step in to calm the rebellion claiming governance over all races, and even the insurgents of today will realize they have been played.

Having been freed by Christ and purchased by his blood, our job is to follow the beatitudes in spirit and truth and have no part in the unfruitful works of darkness but to expose them. S M - I am not following you exactly. What do you mean by Christians not recognizing civil rights? Some of them we do, I believe, for they are the basic human rights to be treated fairly. As Christians we are to follow God's moral laws which do no harm to our neighbors. So we should be those who uphold those laws by how we treat others with love and respect. But biblically we are not to demand our rights other than we are to refuse to bow to foreign gods and we are to refuse to deny Jesus Christ and we are to refuse to stop teaching in Jesus' name, etc. If someone in authority commands we disobey our Lord, we are to refuse. But biblically I don't believe we are to demand our rights, though we can request to be heard and to be treated with fairness (Paul did, Jesus did, I believe).

But a lot of civil rights have nothing to do with the Bible or with loving others as Christ loved us or with upholding God's moral laws. And, some of them may even be opposed to God and to the Scriptures. So, we wouldn't recognize those. Basically, as Christians, we are to follow the law of love, but love as defined by God, not by man, which is love that prefers what God prefers which is truth, righteousness and holiness. And, it cares about the salvation of human lives.

Yes, we are to have no part in the fruitless deeds of darkness, so anything that falls under that category we would not participate in and we would expose them.

What do you mean by Christians not recognizing civil rights?

I think you've put it well, thanks. Our charge is love. Yet this can be a challenging issue, the extent to which Christians are to actively engage in social justice. There seems to be a continuum of views, from quietism to crusade-ism to martyrdom.

I'd referred to the beatitudes, as they're the teachings on 'attitudes' to situations to guide us, and there are of course a range of responses that are permissible within the ambit of those teachings. Because we need to always keep in mind that it's a spiritual battle, we wrestle not against flesh and blood.

And importantly, to not be ignorant of the devil's schemes.
