I have struggled with OCD for about 5 years, but Jesus has been of great aid to my break from its grasp. However, I have noticed that there are certain times of the day where I pray best. It just like its my time to talk to God. If I pray other times of the day, its not that the prayers bad, but my mind will occasionally go astray or I will be OCD in my prayer. I have notice that if I pray after I shower, I can just pray and let God know everything on my mind.

I'm just wondering if this just happens to me, or if some of you are like this as well.

God Bless

I've tried all the recommendations over the years. I don't find early in the morning good for me unless we're in a group. But if you define prayer as talking 'with' God in a dialogue, and not just talking 'to' God in a monologue it might also influence how good it is. I suppose I've gravitated to 'before bed' as my 'ritual' time. And, in all honesty, I sure can't brag about how that's going lately. I once heard a man give pretty good advice; Don't ever pray longer than 5 minutes and don't ever go longer than 5 minutes without praying.

I do find that last recommendation pretty important in my 'dialogue' with God concerning what's happening all day long. Still not claiming perfection of this recommendation...mind you.

PS Prayer based upon your present 'mood' icon makes a big difference to me also.

No, I'm quite like that myself. :)
