  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Matt Dillon is a very good actor. Very strong guy but without the huge Schwarzenegger style muscles!
I saw Crash months ago and was also impressed by the performances of Thandie Newton and Terence Howard. Crash deals with a very important issue. Racial differences are played upon negatively by a minority of people not just in America, but also where i live here in the UK. For me, the incredible thing about Crash was that it wasn't some cinematic fantasy, it reflected real life.

this movie will be forgotten and will become another trivia question. just like million dollar baby. my friends and i are huge movie fans and this movie did not deserve to win. when we pondered what won last year, we had blank stares for about a minute. this will be the same situation next year. oddly enough, that movie was also written by paul haggis. congratulations for liking a movie that's contrived and mediocre.

Crash was interesting to watch, but the only problem I had with it is that it tried to ram the racism down your throat. I 'got it' after 30 minutes. I was hoping Good Night and Good Luck would win.
That's exactly what i was thinking. I began to notice that the whole racism issue was artificially forced, and half-way through the movie it was rather absurd to put so much drama into those scenes. Good Night and Good Luck did a superb job of conveying it's message in a more realistic and profound manner.

Well, I'm glad Brokeback didn't win and Crash did. Crash was a very awesome movie. I wouldn't have minded Munich winning though.

Either way this year was a boring year as far as BP goes. I think Walk The Line deserved a nom and a win for best picture. I also think Batman Begins should have been nominated even though it's a 'comic book movie.' But I'm happy with Crash winning.
