Have you tried xmail? I can't post the link as I'm a newbie without the requisite number of posts to have that privilege, but I'm sure if you "seek, you will find!" Built-in messenger, voice mail, create & store your own web pages, net2phone, HTML & plain text messaging, and much more....all for free. It may not have the storage space of gmail, but it has a lot more features!

Stay away from the mail.com domain. I have had a free email account with them for years and the email addresses are awsome. The service, reliability, features and huge amount of popups make the usability very poor unless you upgrade to a paid account. I have a hard time paying for 30mb of storage :(

exactly....
let's say, I have an Earthlink account I pay $18.00 a month...it doesn't make sense to pay $14.00 (a year) for a seperate email provider. I guess when you pay for one, it's more likely to be spam-free. If you get a FREE email provider, expect to get spam. It WOULD be nice to have it for FREE and be spam-free, too! ;)

Most ISP mailing systems limit what you can send. They also put limits on your attachments. Worse than Yahoo or Hotmail.

Fusemail does charge now. Sorry! Also I recommend getting your own domain and get some hosting then you have your own address. :) I hope this helps.

domain & hosting options usually aren't that cheap - certainly not along the lines of $14/yr as was mentioned above.

However, as I stated earlier, softhome.net are pretty good - and are POP so you can use your email program to download/send - which is much faster and no ads or popups etc to deal with. I think they have a size limit, but they're free!

It does "make sense" to me. I *PAY* for exactly that..no spam, no virii. I do not use the e-mail services provided by my ISP. With activatormail, I don't have to constantly mess with setting up filters and blocking spam, it's done before I ever see it. I started with activatormail years ago because I was overseas and didn't have an ISP. Fusemail and activatormail both started out as free services by the way.

Regards
