  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Who is your favorite electronic music band. Whether they do Techno, House, Trance, Jungle, Breakbeat, Downtempo, or Hardcore. I think i've covered all electronic genres.... Anyway, what is your fav. electric. band?

I am going to have to go with this guy
newgrounds.com/audio/view.php?id=223677&sub=2033
I know he makes music on his computer, but still I could find about 100 bands on the radio with major labels and all the shtick that can't compare to this guy.

Also Aphex Twin and Daft Punk kick major ass.

Hmm, my favorite electronic music "bands"? Well, if you put it that way:
Shpongle
Tangerine Dream (Franke/Froese/Baumann lineup)
Zorch
Ozric Tentacles
Droid
MIMEO

Squarepusher, Rapoon, Aphex Twin, Robert Rich =, but not bands...

New Wave falls under House music. Google for "Iskurs guide to electronic music."
Eh, I wasn't all too impressed by that guide when I checked it out a few months ago, except for the gigantic amount of branching that it has in it. Progressionally speaking, New Wave (as in A Flock Of Seagulls, Duran Duran, etc.) falls under the Post-Punk umbrella, but did have a fair share of electronic influence.

My tastes in electronic music are pretty much across the Rock-Electronic fusion boundary line and Club music areas. Industrial (et al), Alternative Dance, Electronic Rock, Trance, etc.

If you mean pure 'Electronica' (I hate that term), I'd have to say E Nomine scores pretty high. I just don't know where else to classify them.
