Hey everyone!
I think it will shock and annoy me until the day that I die and pass into St. Peter's (which of course only Peter can allow entrance *cough-cough*), about the ignorance and certainty of the claims thrown against the Catholic Church.
I was wondering what some of your favorite debates have been, that can preferably be found online (with links posted) regarding differences in dogma/doctrine between Catholics/Orthodx beliefs and Protestant beliefs. The issue of the canon is one that I am still dumbfounded by. There has to be something that allows even the most educated Protestants to believe they have justification in excluding it...and I'm curious as to what that is. The Orthodox have the dueteros in their canon, who split from the West in 1054. The dueteros are in the early councils of the Church in the 4th century...so why would God allow Christians to have these accepted by the majority, though honestly questioned from time to time, but in the end not allow them in the canon. Holistically they were accepted - why is no one seeing this? I guess they are seeing it - those who are becoming Catholic.
Anyway, I'd just like to read some honest debates over the issue, and other issues, and was wondering if we had any favorites. Debates, essays and the like.
Thanks everyone!
