Believe and be satisfied....

I've always believed that God allowed my divorce to get finally get my attention and draw me back to Him. I stand by that.

A friend from church was over at my house on Saturday helping me paint (11 rooms of wallpaper... ugh!). Was poking around my office and found something that had been tacked to my bulletin board for many, many years - long before I even started dating my ex-wife. it was literally inches from my head in the office of our old house, for our entire marriage, and I never read it.

That's sobering... But it's also a great reminder that when we put our focus on God, He WILL take care of the rest.

Everyone longs to give themselves completely to someone; to have a deep soul relationship with another; to be loved, thoroughly and exclusively. But God, to be a Christian, says “no”, not until you are satisfied and fulfilled and content with living, loved by me alone, with giving yourself totally and unreservedly to me, to have an intensly personal and unique relationship with me alone. Just keep looking off and away, up to me or you’ll miss what I have to show you. And then when you’re ready, I’ll surprise you with a love far more wonderful than you would ever dream of. You see, until you are ready and until you are both satisfied with me exclusively and the life I have prepared for you, you won’t be able to experience the love that exemplifies your relationship with me and this is the perfect love.

And my dear one, I want you to have this most wonderful love. I want you to see in the flesh a picture of your relationship with me and enjoy materially and concretely the everlasting beauty and perfection and love that I offer you with myself. I love you utterly. I am God Almighty.
