CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well, tell us a little about yourself. What is your testimony? What are your hobbies?

My testimony: Well, I grew up agnostic. I wasn't opposed to any religion or Christianity, and the idea of there not being anything just didn't make logical sense to me. I digress, my family moved across town and there was church near at the exit to our neighborhood. I had never really been to church, and my family decided to try it out, and never looked back.
Hobbies: Running, snowmobiling, doing nothing (I prefer the term playing video games or watching TV), I used to play volleyball

That sounds a lot like my testimony. I used to be an atheist and suddenly I was faced with the truth that one day I was going to die. There was no escaping it. So I had panic attacks and began to search, which led me to Christ

That's sounds scary. I wasn't really an atheist though, it was more of I really didn't know who was, for lack of a better word, right.

I enjoy running, snowmobiling, and doing nothing (watching TV or playing video games). I'll read when I find a good book, but I don't really consider it a hobby. I also used to play volleyball.
