• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

hang in there, you will make it through this. i have made it and i have been the biggest dramaqueen you have ever seen, lol. but really, it is tough to fight this illness sometimes. you have racing thoughts, you think your worthless, you just want to crawl in a hole and shut yourself in from the world. but this is the worst thing you can do, be possitive. tell yourself that you are going to lick this and you are going to do whatever it takes to get this done. life is like a box of choclates, lol, you dont ever know what your going to get until you try one. and every path is different, but the one thing you can always count on is god being there with you. i have turned my life over to the lord and he has guided me through the tough times in my life. i am working now, a productive person in society. i go to church, volunteer, attend groups and just try to do as much as i can to fight this disease so i can show everyone that this is the person i am, not the one that the illness made me. i was low like you not long ago but now with the right medication im pulling my own. i hope you can do better than me, as i will prey for you. may god show you the best path for your recovery and i wish you th very best. god bless!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi helpneedednow thank you for your encouraging post. I'm going to write that down. I put everything in God's hands a year ago when I was really sick (hit rock bottom) with depression and he watched over me so I have to put this bipolar stuff in God's hands? I already put my depression in God's hands thought that would take care of everything. Oh well, I will lean on god. Thanks so much for replying that means a lot to me and the bad thing about being bipolar is when the episode is over I start to feel sick to my stomach. Does anyone else do this?

Welcome to the forum. :)

some of the most rewarding things in life come from the most difficult situations. remember you have many people here to lean on and most importantly god. i believe god brought me to this site to help others while really healing myself at the same time. have faith and it will work out. i have totally regreted things that i have done on bipolar episodes so dont feel alone.
