Before it is too Late
His name, lets call him, AJ. AJ was on probation sitting in my office. If he had been in church you might have thought that he was the preachers boy or the deacons. Or you might have thought AJ would be delivering the morning sermon. AJ was clean cut, intelligent but he was also addicted. He had been addicted to various drugs since he was 14. This day AJ had all the right answers, he appeared to be fine but inside he was really a very desperate person. That same night AJ used a gun to blow open the front door to a dentists office to steal the drugs he was addicted to this time. The police arrived before he could get away and he was arrested. AJ went to prison eventually was released and at the young age of 21 high on drugs and alcohol lost control of his car and was killed. He left behind a wife, and a daughter, and a mother, and a father that loved him very much. They had all tried, I had tried. It could have been different. And yet this was the way a life of great promise and potential had ended.
Im convinced that my life could have ended at a young age in a way similar to AJs. But something happened. My wife told me about a man named Jesus who had changed her life. I thought that I was a Christian but I had never met this Jesus. I talked with a preacher and he shared with me Revelation 3:20 where Jesus says, Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. I opened up the door and Jesus changed my life. Is there someone you need to tell about Jesus before its too late?
