I don't really know how to say this...but here goes...Greeks and Romans, before the rise of Christianity, worshipped many gods of which they believed real and their creators. I have read many books that state the old gods died when Christ was born, but is this true? Were their really any Greek gods that just died out?
Can someone clear this up for me, cause I have wondered it a long time.

No when Constantine forced Christianity upon the Roman Empire they had no choice, hence why Saturnalia is now what is Christmas despite the fact Jesus was born in July. The Pagan worshipping was mandated to cease

Where did you find out Jesus was born in July? I read it was possible Jesus was born in April.

I've not known of any situation where mythological gods died out.

A couple that you might find of interest would be Mithras and Ishtar. Check those two out sometime.

Actually, from a Judaic perspective, it is more likely that Y'shua was born very near to the time of Sukkot (the Feast of Tabernacles). This takes place in autumn; hence the Sept/Oct dating that some give to his birth.

Forgive me if I'm being naive, but why is there a debate over this? The Greek Gods come from a set of myths based on early pagan religions of Persia and Egypt which then got jiggled into Greek culture to form their own religious ideas. The Greeks couldn't even agree on them, and the Roman Gods were developed from the Greek. Why do some people apparently believe these literary constructs are/were actual beings? Does this mean you believe in the old Norse and Indian deities too? Sorry, I'm just a little confused here

Just because something is worshipped doesn't mean it's worthy, or even alive. Everything but the Triune God is an idol, that includes Allah.

Everything but the Triune God is an idol... what a contradiction you canot even find triune in the scriptures.

Elohim (God) is echad (Plural One). Elohim is YHWH, Yeshua is YHWH, Ruach Hakodesh is the spirit of Elohim.

Greeks and Romans, and most other kinds of people, worship many gods they believe to be real today. I suspect some such worship is instigated by demons, who go by the names of what worshippers think are gods. Then, the demons are being worshipped under the name of the false gods.
