Before & After
After heartbreak, where does one turn?
After pain, who does one look to?
After confusion, where does one seek answers?
After loss, where does one find healing?
We go to the One whose heart broke for us, before.
We go to the One who felt pain for us, before.
We go to the One who suffered for us, before.
We go to the One who died for us, before.
Why do we seek Him only after our after?
Why do we not seek Him after His before?
We seek Him when we believe we need Him
We seek Him because we want Him to help us
We seek Him because we want answers
We seek Him because we want healing
He came to earth to be friends with us,
He came to earth to be a Father to us,
He came to earth to set us free,
He came to earth to LOVE US
He wants us to seek Him all the time,
He wants us to love Him all the time,
He wants to help us all the time
He wants US TO BE WITH HIM all the time.
Why have we confined our God?
Why do we place a boundary around Him?
Why have we restricted His presence?
Why have we limited His unlimited POWER?
It comes down to faith,
It comes down to trust,
It comes down to belief
Who is our God, to me?
When we know our God,
We know His power and presence,
We know His strength and peace,
We know His love and His friendship
