  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Beer isn't in the Bible as it is made in a colder, more northern climate.
If it isn't in the Bible it is certainly not because beer was made in "a colder, more northern climate" because beer was also made in very hot climates.

"The best argument that the jars contained beer, which is a good one, is by analogy to modern practices that can still be observed in East and West Africa. Native peoples there, such as the Bantu-speaking Masai of Kenya and the Kofyars of Nigeria prepare sorghum and millet beers in large jars and drink the beverage directly from the vessels using long reed straws.

The parallel to ancient Mesopotamia can be carried a step further; beer-drinking through straws in African societies is usually associated with special celebrations and ceremonies

The parade of examples from ancient Mesopotamia of "straws" for drinking beer were discovered at the site of Ur . . . "

You're quite right. If God was alright with us using the internet he would have said so in the bible.

(and cars are bad for the environment, so you shouldn't use them anyway. :preach:)
