Sometimes we, especially women, feel as if we are not beautiful. Not just beautiful in a physical sense, but also in a spiritual one as well!
I really wanted to share a scripture with everyone
Isaiah 61.1-3
1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
This scripture talks about how God will take our ashes for beauty. What are our ashes?
Our ashes can be anything that keeps us holding on to the past, and hindering our relationship to fully develop and grow with Christ, such as:
1. a rape/molestation
2. anger/hatred towards someone
3.a past/present relationship
4. an abortion
5. low self-esteem
6. different habits/addictions
But it is not until we fully hand Him ALL of our ashes, that we will experience HIS true beauty within ourselves. So I encourage everyone to read Isaiah 61, because it is so encouraging, especially when you are down and feel unbeautiful!
