  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

i'm not one to try to start threads like these.
but i cannot stop listening to gungor's cd, and a common theme is God creating beauty out of unbeautiful things.

what are some ways God's created beautiful things out of things you couldn't see beauty in at the time?

for example!

a few years ago this boy SMASHED my heart. destroyed me. i sobbed and wept and couldn't function. but that was a turning point in my faith. the boy's older sister, whom i'd met a few times, went to china to serve with her husband and we've kept in touch.

she was in town and yesterday i had plans to see her. i'd not seen her since the day after the boy and i broke up in... 2008. imagine my shock{horror?} as she pulled up... WITH THEIR MOM.

but i spent the morning with them and they are both such beautiful, faithful women.. and i was and am blessed by the both of them.

so out of this awful breaking of my heart came two beautiful relationships with two women who are encouraging servants of the Lord.

your turn.

Well i was in love with my ex but back then i was really unhappy unless i had a girlfriend......

well she cheated on me - and i hurt for a while - but i learned to be happy single and not need another person or situation to be happy.....

One of the best lessons i have learned in life i think :)
