Beaches

This is just something that I wrote about how I kinda feel at the moment, that my life has had a series of experiences and each one you get through, then theres the aftermath to deal with and adjusting etc etc even years later.
Anyhow, dunno what to call it just thought I'd post it.....

BEACH POEM:

The storm passes
Glitter floats on the waves
A breeze catches in my hair
Head turned to the sun, eyes squinting.
The sea thrashes the beach with a thousand salt pieces
Again and again,
My heart feels at one with the sand
Stripes healed in places, some not quite
Merciful God
Scars
Hold my hand

The storm is passed
Beach changed forever
My soul carries different knowledge now too
Footprints to be washed away follow me
As I leave this place
If tears mean cleansing
Then they have dried on my face
In the warm wind

God walks with me
Understanding I am tired but alive
Loving me gently.
