You did it once, and because it wasn’t Jesus talking to you, that makes it wrong for everyone to go to Jesus for answers? Now Jesus told us his people will hear his voice and he would lead them. Now that is in the Bible. Also everything Jesus will ever tell us will not contradict anything in his Word.

Now because the Mormons say something that makes everyone who says something like them wrong? Do the Mormons judge who is talking to them by the Word of God alone, or do they have their church tradition also as a judge?

His Voice IS the Word of God. He spoke it and the disciples wrote it down. That is how we hear the voice of God.

I have shown you that what you said Jesus told you is not in the Word of God.

JESUS said, His SHEEP would KNOW His voice. IF you ask Him a question, I would assume you would know His voice enough to discern if it were Him or not. I ask Jesus all sorts of questions all the time.It IS very Biblical. It is God's word and will that we would KNOW His voice and commune with Him.

My agenda is this - to have the truth and to warn others that satan goes around like a roaring lion seeking to deceive. If you do not have a love of the truth, then you will be deceived. satan is capable of healing - this is part of the signs and wonders by the spirit of the anti-christ through which many will fall away - and it's said to christians.

2Th 2:9 His coming is according to the working of Satan in all power and miraculous signs and lying wonders,
2Th 2:10 and in all deceit of unrighteousness in those being lost, because they did not receive the love of the truth in order for them to be saved.
2Th 2:11 And because of this, God will send to them a working of error, for them to believe the lie,
2Th 2:12 that all may be judged, those not believing the truth, but who have delighted in unrighteousness.

the fruit is based in righteousness and truth. if there is no truth, it's not good fruit.

Eph 5:9 For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth,

we cannot live a sinless life:

1 John 1:8-10 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

I know it feels very good to think that you hear Jesus' voice. The problem is that no where in the NT are we instructed to hear a voice. No where does it state that we have to ask Jesus a question in order to know the Truth. Jesus Word [ Bible] is His Voice and His Truth.

question: how do you know what Jesus' voice is supposed to sound like?

where does it say in the NT that we will commune with Jesus? as in have a dialogue?

You are kidding right??? I DID just quote the Scripture...that His sheep WOULD KNOW His voice. SO I must question you...are you one of His sheep? If yes, you should be hearing His voice.

The Bible is His voice - He spoke the words, the disciples wrote them down. The Word of God is a living Word, breathed by the Holy Spirit - that makes the Bible "audible" to our hearts and minds. If you trust a voice that you "hear", you will be deceived.

Jesus also said that we had to eat His flesh and drink His blood. Are you prepared to do that literally?

Joh 10:4 And when he puts forth his own sheep, he goes in front of them, and the sheep follow him because they know his voice.
Joh 10:5 But they will not follow a stranger, never! But they will flee from him, because they do not know the voice of the strangers.
Joh 10:6 Jesus spoke this parable to them, but they did not know what it was which He spoke to them.

Jesus was not speaking literally that we would hear His voice, He said it was a parable.

YEAH, ok.

As to your reference to eating/drinking....it is called Communion..and yes, I DO do that...WHAT exactly is your point? You seem to be a female version of another person on here (another thread) but your posting styles are alot alike...makes me wonder...

This is a perfect example why we need to ask Jesus what is right or wrong. You quote John and believe it say we all sin, even after we come to know God. Now John latter says: (1 John 3: 3 - 9) “Surely everyone who entertains this hope must purify himself, must try to be as pure as Christ. Any one who sins at all breaks the law, because to sin is to break the law. Now you know that He appeared in order to abolish sin, and that in Him there is no sin; anyone who lives in God does not sin, and anyone who sins has never seen Him or known Him. My children do not let anyone lead you astray; to live a holy life is to be holy just as He is holy; to lead a sinful life is to belong to the Devil, since the Devil was a sinner from the beginning. It was to undo all that the Devil has done that the Son of God appeared. No one who has been begotten by God sins: because God’s seed remains inside him, he cannot sin when he has been begotten by God.”

Also here is more scripture that tells us what happens to people who know
God and then sin.

(Hebrews 10:26-31) “If, after we have been given knowledge of the truth, we should deliberately commit any sins, then there is no longer any sacrifice for them. There will be left only the dreadful prospect of judgment and of the raging fire that is to burn rebels. Anyone who disregards the Law of Moses is ruthlessly put to death on the word of two witnesses or three; and you may be sure that anyone who tramples on the Son of God, and who insults the Spirit of grace, will be condemned to a far severer punishment. We are all aware who it was that said: Vengeance is mine; I will repay. And again: The Lord will judge his people. It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”

(Hebrews 6: 4) “As for those people who were once brought into the light, and tasted the gift from heaven, and received a share of the Holy Spirit, and appreciated the good message of God and the powers of the world to come and yet in spite of this have fallen away it is impossible for that to be renewed a second time. They cannot be repentant if they have willfully crucified the Son of God and openly mocked Him.”

Jesus said that hearing His voice was a parable - it is not a literal statement.

Those texts refer to willful rebellious sinning. We must strive to walk in the Spirit, not in the flesh. There is a difference between understanding that we sin and seek to be conformed to the image of Christ, repenting of all sin --- and a willful disobedience that chooses sin over living a life of purity, holiness and righteousness.

wow, this is really amazing to me. I asked God something too and ended up with a not so good feeling after my next experience. That's hard to understand, but I don't want to go into specifics. I didn't understand why I was feeling so bad, now I do. Thank you. Something has been lifted.

I ask Jesus stuff all the time, but only once has he answered me verbally, and it was in the middle of a dream like state, therefor, to make it so, I believe, that I couldn't 100% trust it as authentic, and would have to have faith. All he said was I am the way, the truth, and the life. THAT'S IT. He didn't tell me to go do this or that, or explain things to me. People follow angels of light all the time. Muslims, Mormons, in fact, every religion has started in one way or another because of someone seeing, or getting some kind of revelation from "God". Jesus said WATCH OUT, and it's very healthy to question people that say, do this, or your not saved. Jesus told me to tell you. I don't need a prophet to tell me what God said, I have a direct line with him, as do all believers. We don't need men to relay messages from God to us anymore.

I have come to the conclusion that it's just a little taste of God's wrath you experience. It's like a jolt of electricity, if you have ever been shocked for a second, you are confussed, a little shaken, and you know you never want to do that again.

You tell me what those scriptures mean, and Jesus tells me what they mean. Who do you think I am going to believe?

You are right. No matter who tells you anything about God you should ask Jesus if it is right or wrong. Now that isn’t to say there is no need for prophets anymore. Paul knew before he went back to Jerusalem that he would be arrested, but still God sent him prophets to tell him. Who knows why? It doesn’t matter, God has his reasons, and we just do as he tells us.
