  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Be excited for your future!!

Hey all...As you can clearly see from my username, I have a lot of hope for the next life. Yes that's correct. Heaven and The New Earth. I wanted to share that we can all forget the worries of this life and be ready for the next.

Im a high school dropout with not one friend, No real hobbies, and formerly, no hope at all.

I thought teenage life would be fun, But it isn't what it seems, there really isn't much freedom.. I honestly don't see any future for me on this earth. It is VERY miserable to live this way every day waking up whenever being bored around my house, not to mention the struggle of being a Christian, anyways moving on to the point:

I say lets forget this world because it lied to all of us, It deceived us, it makes us extremely bored, We have Hope through Jesus Christ, because He went to prepare a place for us. He died and rose again so that WE could all have a Real life, and not a boring one that ends. Not to mention there will be a brand New Earth, infinity times better than this one, and We are going to live there too!

So, In the Christian view, We are just "here for the ride", We are leaving this earth, and Lets take some people with us and pray for those who aren't on the same boat as us,:groupray: because I believe we are in the end times (I had some visions If you want me to share). Don't worry about Yolo and all that, its a lie, we have all eternity to experience whatever we haven't here

God Bless I want to endorse hope in all of us because We have a future!

I commend your for your faith in the Lord...but I do not agree with your views regarding life.

The sanctity of life is a divine gift given by God. Every breath we take is due to God's mercy and love. God has the power to stop us living, He has the power to end our lives immediately...but He lets us carry on living our lives, even if we might not care about Him. You are God's child, He loves you very much...He doesn't want you to feel like this.

However we should not simply wait for Eternal Life, for then what would the purpose of life on earth be fore? Why would God send us to suffer so much on earth? This is because Adam sinned against God, and thus we should realistically be sent to Hell. It is our fault that we have had to suffer! However it is the Lord's sacrifice that has saved us. We should be grateful to the Lord, and by being grateful I mean follow His instructions.

You clearly have a heart for Jesus
See what makes His religion great is not errors of wars and inquisitions
It's that broken men and women to participate in his mission
Clearly Jesus says I have not come to abolish

I came to fulfill the law and I came to fulfill the prophets (Matthew 5:17)
And lines about building big churches and tending to the poor
Sounds a bit like Judas when the perfume was being poured (John 12:5)
See His religion is the largest worldwide source of relief
For the poor, the hungry, the sick and repentant thief
Oceans of compassion, opening wide the doors
For single mothers, widows and orphans, married and divorced (James 1:27)

You can't have Christ without His Church; you can't have the King without his Kingdom
Sins of the Body and internal treason will never ever make me leave him
And that Jesus said it is done, is absolutely true
But he also gave us a mission with many things to DO.
Jesus says if you love me, you will Do what I command. (JN 15:14)
Go and Baptize in the name of the Father, Son & Spirit in Every Land. (MT 28:19)

I believe When Jesus said IT IS FINISHED, His religion had just begun.

Jesus set up the Church so that we may carry on His work. He did not want us to live our lives and wait for Eternal Life, for He wants us to enjoy the gift He has given us. We Christians are imbued by the Holy Spirit...we are the Body of Christ.

I am sorry for the hardships of your life and I will pray for you.

I am happy that you recognise the sanctity of life (too many people do not do this), for everything is God's and thus has the potential to be divine. I too have a hard life, especially due to my country's persecution of Catholics. I'm considered an ''enemy of the state'', I'm laughed at, pointed at....but it doesn't make a difference because Jesus gave me a mission, to carry out His work of loving others.

We are all part of the Body of Christ, we all make a difference. If we do not do not uphold the teachings of Christ, we are damaging the whole Body.

I too look forward to the future...and it is because of this that I care so much about the present; my life on earth. None of us can say that we'll be saved...I do not know whether I'll be saved. Thus I make sure that I devote myself to the Lord, that I may carry out His will (but I still fail...I am a sinner). That itself might not save me, but at least I will be a more faithful follower in His divine sight and thus by His mercy I might be saved...

Life is a journey to Heaven...if you don't take the necessary steps, you might end up falling down. Even if life seems bad at the moment, find out why. Look into yourself and honestly tell God why your life is the way it is, and more importantly, how you can improve it.

God be with you :crossrc:

Only you can make your life a happy one. I can't say that the decision to dropout of high school was a good one, but I don't know the specific situation you are in so I won't judge you for that. I would recommend going back to high school, because it is extremely hard to get anywhere without a college degree, let alone not having a high school diploma. At least get your GED and attend a community college. If you can't afford it, then take advantage of financial aid. I'm of the opinion that if you wan't to go to college, you can.

Life is what you make it.

Thanks for the reply. I had good reasons to drop out but I wont go into detail. Im not going to worry about education or none of that im good don't worry about me. I am completely happy knowing I have eternity ahead of me. My earthly life is pathetic but in this limited world what can I say? I got a future. I like to think about jeremiah 29:11

I just had a memory of myself..

I'm a heavy thinker as well, and quite lazy since I was spoiled while being raised. I wish I wasn't. But anyways.. before, I was very lonesome and longed so much for heaven. I still do, but all of God's saved children have work to do until his return. Though I wept because I wanted to leave earth and go on to eternity. I also did nothing--I was no witness. I was not even sharing the gospel or my testimony. So then.. what would God say to me at eternity? "Why didn't you do anything?"

You have a light to shine my friend. I too have no friends, but only family--or that wouldn't be fair to say. I know some older Christians, and I shouldn't place such an age barrier between us. It's just not right. But anyways, I hardly got any friends. Maybe one.. or two. What I realized is that if I spread the Gospel message--what would I have to lose? I had no friends to leave me anyway! :p I'm a pretty optimistic and a really talkative guy.

But like I said. You have a light to shine my friend. Read the Word and be careful not to drift away from the straight and narrow path. Hopefully, I can see you in the future life after this and we could talk about this forum. But until then, let's not be weary in well-doing, but do the most we can to spread the message. Oh, and remain faithful! Don't forget to pray. It is SO important.

Again, you encouraged me and now I'm in a mood for praise. :clap:I know that I have to keep trying to reach the youth in my community, because it's just me and my sister here that are the only youth that serve God.

Great post. Its amazing to see people younger than myself who know much more than me! Well done guys! I'm still growing with faith everyday because i know its not something that just happens over night. I reckon that sometimes, you don't really need friends. All through my teen years i was so dependent on others for my own happiness? to keep me feeling lonely and left out but i found Jesus and i didn't worry about others who weren't followers of his world. All my high school friends just do the same stuff all the time, work, go out and party where as i got so over doing that!!

Now life is something that should be lived even though we may not enjoy the struggles and negative things that happen to us. But we must pray and know that no matter what we may face , that God will always be by our sides!

I am a young mum so had to drop out, but i begun an alternative education for young mums. even though i have gained things for jobs and stuff, i am still unsure of what i want to do and weither i want to get in debt to do some course for higher training for a better paid job? I am HIGHLY considering just devoting my life to the Lord and let him open the doors i will need in the future such as church groups, more christian friends etc...

The future is something i dread to look forward to because of what awaits us and what my family may be put through but i know this,

Ephesians 6:16. Above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.

Completely agree with what you have said, and might I add that I admire the sheer tolerance you have exhibited. Having empathy, I know that in your perspective religion is simply in the eye of the beholder, it may be used as a powerful sense of motivation. Thus I'm glad that you have not made any direct references to criticizing religion, though of course the great majority of atheists tend to be tolerant towards religion.

However indeed, the individual in question must work hard in order to better their life. They might spend the day praying away, but things would simply not get done. If God truly exists, He would tell us to stop idling and get on with their life. If Jesus will indeed return, let's not waste our lives just anticipating it...instead we should make the most of the time that is given to us.

you got some good advice here, don't just waste your life away you're only young and it's never to late to learn something new go out meet people, read a book, learn a new skill, go out and help people do some charity work very rewarding, you don't want to be in your 20's living with your mum. No matter what anyone belives we all still want to be happy/loved you have a life time to live here on earth, be happy :)
