  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hello everyone,

I just joined this forum and I'm happy to have found a group of Christians online to socialize with!

I'm from the US originally but I'm currently living in Taiwan, where I've been teaching for the past two years. It has been an amazing experience but unfortunately in February I picked up a nasty strain of MRSA on a trip outside of Taiwan. It put me in the hospital for five days back in April (had started going into my blood) and I'm still dealing with the painful/embarrassing boils and overall feelings of sickness and hopelessness every few weeks. I'm tired of being on antibiotics but I have no choice at the moment. I'm scared it will keep coming back but I have to believe God will eradicate it from my system completely. If you all would be so kind as to pray for me I would appreciate it. I know through God, anything is possible so I'm going to step forward in faith.

Father God, have mercy on this one and help her to overcome MRSA. May You cast it out of her system where it will no longer be a cause of concern. Wipe it out, weaken it and destroy it, and restore this one's health, In Jesus Name, Amen
