"Federal law enforcement has received credible information that large shipments of marijuana have begun to be shipped from Mexico. This is marijuana that is warehoused and more marijuana is enroute to the warehouses and room must be made for the newly arriving marijuana. The distributors have been given instructions that they are responsible for the loads and they are expected to protect the loads. This is believed to include protecting the marijuana loads from law enforcement including the use of violence against law enforcement.



The drivers of the loads have been instructed to wear body armor and carry long guns. Apparently there is a new transportation group that is prepared to use long guns and grenades against US law enforcement.



Anyone participating in interdiction stops need to use caution. DEA is notifying GSP of this information. If you have law enforcement in your areas that participate please advise them of this information."

My thoughts exactly. I heard something on FOX news last night, something about the drug lords in Mexico are about to take over Mexico. Something about some top officials resigning due to the killings of some other officials.....I should probably do a search on it, the ol' memory ain't so hot sometimes.

But anyway, I think Obama has his work cut out for him. He is soon to find out what it really means to be the Pres.

I do not smoke marijuana, but it seems keeping it illegal is more trouble then it is worth, how much time and money do we spend trying to catch people who sell pot, how many people are in jail for this, for something that is about as bad as alcohol, also, how much money is being made by criminals who sell marijuana? this is like the alcohol Prohibition in the 1920's, it makes criminals rich, and it does not really stop the people who want to get messed up.
I am not for the legilisation of all drugs, but this is not coke or heroin, no one can OD on pot, it is bad, but adults should have a bit of freedom when it comes to what they put in there bodies

Rhamiel, imagine this scenario: Pot gets legalized in America, and Mr. & Mrs. American Farmer decide they will no longer grow corn, wheat, oats, soybeans, vegetables. They are now going to grow pot, because the profit is as high (no pun intended) as if they could grow alcohol on a bush. They have to hire armed guards to protect their thousands of rolling acres of pot, the same acres where they used to grow thousands of acres of wheat and corn.

The price of a loaf of bread is your best guess, but at least $50. Wheat and other crops will be imported from other countries, probably China. Beef, chicken, pork become delicacies that only the very rich can afford to buy. America becomes completely dependant on other countries for our food supply. Pot bars become as common as liquor bars.

Is this the America you want? Things are bad enough as it is.

well right now, we are paying farmers not to grow wheat and corn so we can keep the prices high enough to support farmers
if the price of wheat and beef goes up, then it will be more profitable to grow wheat and raise cattle, free market in action, since just about anybody who have a small garden could grow there own marajuana (it is called "weed" for a reason, the stuff grows anywhere) there would be some farm land devoted to growing marajuana,but is would not take over, since a lot of folk would grow there own, just as there is farmland devoted to growing grain for alcohol, but all the wheat is not used to make beer, also, as to "pot bars" being as common as liquor bars, well it is all about zoneing
there are dry counties in America, I am sure most counties would not allow "coffee houses" of the amsterdam style, they would just be in big cities.

Rhamiel, maybe you have never used pot, but I have. In my younger years. Pot works on the mind in a different way than alcohol does. Pot makes you so "mellow" that you get lazy. You don't want to work, you don't even think about working. You are so chilled that work doesn't even enter your mind. You become completely content to just sit and watch Sesame Street all day, completely enthralled with the depth of it, wondering how anyone could ever not miss the deep messages Sesame Street has to offer.

Alcohol, as bad as it can be, doesn't do that to you.
It's a different drug, completely different.
