  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I cannot wait for this movie! It comes out in June 2005 and restarts the entire Batman franchise. So it has nothing to do with the previous 4 movies (the last 2 being the worst). Christian Bale plays Bruce Wayne/Batman and Michael Caine is Alfred. The trailer is coming out real soon.

I've always been a huge Batman fan. I had a life-size poster of him on my wall when I was a kid. One of my favourite super-heroes.

The first two Batman movies (the ones directed by Tim Burton) were GREAT. Then he signed off and the last two (who knows who directed them) were complete fodder. Turned me off completely.

I hope that they bring back the "dark" element to Batman in this movie. Batman wasn't meant to be funny. He has a very dark and lonesome heart.

Synopsis: As a young boy, Bruce Wayne watched in horror as his millionaire parents were slain in front of him--a trauma that leads him to become obsessed with revenge. But the opportunity to avenge his parent's deaths is cruelly taken away from him by fate. Fleeing to the East, where he seeks counsel with the dangerous but honorable ninja cult leader known as Ra's Al-Ghul, Bruce returns to his now decaying Gotham City, which is overrun by organized crime and other dangerous individuals manipulating the system. Meanwhile, Bruce is slowly being swindled out of Wayne Industries, the company he inherited. The discovery of a cave under his mansion, along with a prototype armored suit, leads him to assume a new persona, one which will strike fear into the hearts of men who do wrong; he becomes Batman!!! In the new guise, and with the help of rising cop Jim Gordon, Batman sets out to take down the various nefarious schemes in motion by individuals such as mafia don Falcone, the twisted doctor/drug dealer Jonathan 'The Scarecrow' Crane, and a mysterious third party that is quite familiar with Wayne and waiting to strike when the time is right.

Batman Begins stars Christian Bale (Bruce Wayne/Batman), Liam Neeson, Ken Watanabe, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Rutger Hauer, Tom Wilkinson, Cillian Murphy and Katie Holmes.

Not all.

Joker (Jack Nicholson), Penguin (Danny Devito) and Catwoman (Michelle Pfeiffer) were done pretty well.

The rest of them were ruined... well... Uma Thurman wasn't a bad Poison Ivy. But then again, Uma don't do nothing bad.

BOOYAH!!

Which teaser trailer are you talking about? I have the one with the voice-over saying that "There's something out there, something that won't stop, won't blah blah blah... Me."

And ya, this movie will be absolutely amazing - yay Batman darkness! Wooo!
