Bathsheba was minding her own business and unbeknownst to her, she was being checked out. It was probably strange to her to be invited to see the King. Back in those days, you do not refuse the King or it would be to your own demise. Obviously, things went well, and from that experience the King decides he want to make it more permanent. Did Bathsheba know of this plan? Did she mourn the loss of her faithful husband or was she releaved to be free to stay with the King? Any insights into this affair.
