I remember as a kid seeing stories of cops using revolvers and they killed assailants with a single shot whereas nowadays cops use semis and empty their guns into assailants.
I remember reading a few decades ago how an officer should stand sideways to the assailant so as to present a smaller target and should only stand full frontal at night so a flashlight could be held by one hand away from the body with the other hand armed.
Things have changed so much over the years.
