  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

When I was home a couple of weeks ago, I asked my mom about my baptismal certificate, which I'd never seen, and wasn't even sure that we had. Mom found it and my baptismal date was 11/9/1980, a little less than a month after I was born. So 24 years ago today, I was brought into the Divine Life of the Trinity. Thank you Lord for such a gift when I was still yet unable to hold my head up!

Happy remebrance of the begining of your life of grace and entrance into the Church!! Make yourself a little cake! ( We do that and light the kid's baptismal candles!) (It's all really an excuse to have cake....)

I will pray that you will be immersed in the ocean of the mercy and love of Christ Jesus- ever growing in your faith and love for God and neighbor!

Well done! Congratulations and Praise be to Jesus!

Also, a nice time for an Indulgence:

Renewal of Baptismal Promises. A partial indulgence is granted
to those who renew their baptismal promises according to any formula
in use; but a PLENARY INDULGENCE is granted if this is done in celebration
of the Paschal Vigil or on the anniversary of one's baptism.

Peace in Christ!
