Has anyone seen Bambi 2 lately? I am not one who goes out of their way to watch cartoons; believe me I have better things to do. BUT, this animated film speaks so much spiritually. The entire film shows how God wants to Father us. Bambi goes through a wonderful work of maturity in this film. There is one part in the film where Bambi tries to jump over a fallen tree. He counts: 1, 2...then stops. He tries again: 1, 2...then stops. Bambi doesn't even count to three, but instead squeezes under the tree, the easy way. This speaks to me about how I must mature in Christ and have faith, count all the way to 3, and believe to jump over the obstacles. All throught the film, Bambi finds his purpose in life, and that is to be just like his father. In the Bible, God speaks about the difference between a true son of God and a '*******'. No, I am not being profane, look it up in the Bible. A '*******' is someone who refuses to be fathered. There was an example of this through the entire film. Bambi chose to be fathered, but another young male deer chose to rebel and do his own thing. Because Bambi chose this, he matured quickly and soon found his identity and purpose in life.
