Name: Balin Nox
Age: 24
Race: The Gifted
----Gift: Teleportation
Hair: Black
Eyes: Golden
Skin: A light tan
Appearance:
Tall and slender, Balin wears dark clothing which always seems to have a small glowing luster to them, a glean of sheer silver. This is a sideffect of teleportion in which a silver dust envelops him and the objects he is teleporting in a silver lining. Most of which falls off, but some can stick if exposed a good deal many times, such as the clothes which Balin constantly wears.
It was this same sidefect which caused his once brown eyes to become golden and deny them the perception of color. To him, the entire world is a series of dark to light shades of gold.
Hidden in the folds of his long, black, cloth jacket are his weapons.
Weapons:
Because of his gift, he often finds it unnecessary for strength in his weapons. So instead, he mainly carries a set of long daggers and blades, curved or straight, across his hardened body. On occasion he will have a sword, but in this time period of his life, he does not.
Bio:
With the presence of a man who has seen much, like so many of this darkened world, Balin has always appeared humble and young. From the time of childhood, Balin has known about his gift, the ability to move himself or other objects with him to other places almost instantaneously. Often using it for mischief, his father and mother forbade him from ever using them again. But it wasn't long until those in the village in which he lived began to suspect a chain of recent thefts was related to him.
At the age of 16, Balin left his home to save his family from being mobbed by the villagers and began to travel the world by foot and by his ability. Though he had been innocent in the accusation of the thefts at his village, he was not innocent of the ones which followed his path. Stealing at first to survive, he quickly realized the power of his gift and began to steal only from those whom he deemed worthy of the under-burdance. Of course, his judgment of such individuals was based what he witnessed in the shadowy recesses of some niche in the building or those of windows and sides of streets. From his unique perspective, he found the true gems of wickedness and the honest coals of good noblemen and women.
By the time he turned 22, he was proficient at both accurately judging the character of those whom he watched as well as predict their movements and methods of security they would likely implement. He never traveled with a partner in crime, though a few did stick around once in a while for the company or for a scam. Balin had a good many friends in the thieving world, often fulfilling favors and having favors fulfilled for him by way of selling and finding treasures of the wicked boys and girls north of Seagard.
Now he travels to Alaron in order to fulfill another debt. A young drifter by the name of Aaron, an old thieving buddy, has been targeted by a rather rich family, the Rushos, to be immediately killed and any property he sold of theirs to be reclaimed. Of course the gems and rather odd looking statue were stolen by him, Balin, but there was no sense in letting an upandcoming rogue such as Aaron take the blame for his beautiful piece of work. He knew that the Rushos weren't to be respected.
He travels alone and with a horse named Sil.
