Does anyone know how to get rid of bad smells in the house??

Specifically, we had frozen octopus in our freezer.. cooked some of it up for dinner.. decided it was disgusting and that we wouldn't eat any more of it.. so we threw the remaining octopus in the bin (in the kitchen)... lately, we've been sooo busy and stressed, that we forgot to empty the bin until last night when we could smell something bad coming from the kitchen

we figured it must be the bin..so we took it out... then realised the octopus was still in it and THAT was probably what was causing the smell!!!

anyway... now the whole house (well almost).. seems to smell like dead octopus.. its making me nauseous..

ive disinfected the floor area in the kitchen near the bin... it seems to have helped a tiny bit.. but i can still smell dead octopus!! PLEASE HELP ME?!!!

Baking soda is a great idea!

Do you know any deer hunters? A product called scent shield is awesome. You can cut open a real smelly onion and spray some of that scent shield on it and not even smell anything. Beyond that I would try one of those ozone air filters. Good luck and God bless.
