Hi Brothers and Sisters,

This if my official, first post. A quick bit about myself. I just recently earned a BA degree in Philosophy, and I am entering into a master's program for Education/Social Science.

I've been a Christian for about 19 years, although I went through what might be called an existential crisis for a couple of years until about a year or so ago. I feel that the Lord is trying to help revivify my faith. I see myself as an existential Christian now, in the vain of Soren Kierkegaard.

I'm glad to be here. Any other philosophers out there?

Welcome, Dave, to CF. There are a couple of forums here that deal specifically with philosophy; I am sure you will find some philosophers there.

I'm afraid that I am not a philosopher myself, though I've done some reading; one of my favorites is the Spanish philosopher Jose Ortega y Gasset, most of whose writings were directed at a lay audience.
