CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Oh not much. We got some old regulars back. MikeK & Miss Shelby. Monica is taking a break till she can get in touch with her spiritual director. Basically the same stuff with just the coming & going of people.
When did you officially become Catholic?

Pretty decent at the moment, can't say much more, wouldn't want to jinx anything now would I?
But everything has been going a lot better for me (knock on wood).
I think I remember you saying something as such, so, in this spirit, go navy.
Also, thank you, good to be back.
Overall, I would say the best adjective I would use to describe it is, transformative. I feel I learned so much, grew a lot and just became a better person throughout my entire initiation process. I have never felt complete, content and as put together as I have recently.
Well, good to hear from you even if briefly sis, have a pleasant break and hope to hear from you again soon.

Maybe I just let time fly by, but I thought you'd been around relatively recently. Ah well. There's a lot of talk going on about nostalgia and how bad this place has gotten. Sans the threads talking about the downward spiral we're supposedly in, it just looks like regular old OBOB to me. Then again, I don't have an emotional attachment to this forum, so I don't pay as much attention as the regs do.
Have noticed that Virgil's ready to make war with the libs and neo-cons recently, though. I'm okay with this.
