I come down to the health section from time to time. I don't have any illnesses myself, and I hope I remain well.
Basically over a few years, I have had people tell me that God was wanting to use me with a healing gift. I believed them, and took some steps toward it. Often praying for the sick. The very first person I laid hands on and prayed for was healed instantly of a back complaint. Other healing has also occurred very recently.
It is often hard to know how to approach the sick for prayer, with out causing offense. And why do I say offense? Well I know not everyone I have prayed for has been made well, and I can't make the statement that they have. I feel that is to keep me humble, that I don't think I know it all. But as the bible says:
And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles? Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret? But covet earnestly the best gifts: - 1Co 12:28
God has allowed me to move in the gift of healing before, so I offer to pray with you that God bring you healing from your illness. Please don't think that I am being proud, or high minded. It is often God's way to use his people to bring healing.
Gal 3:5-6 He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.
It is not that I am a perfect human, endured with super abilities, no, any healing that occurs happens purely due to the fact that God says in His word the bible that we can pray, and see results. It is we "hear", and we act due to hearing. You might not get well, as God may not grant it to me, but if you do, praise Jesus, thank Him, thank Him for who He is, thank Him for his word the bible, which reveals who He is.
