Is the Tea Party running out of steam?

With Bachmann’s departure, the tea party’s voice in Congress becomes weaker. She is the third big-name tea party figure in recent months to leave Congress — Jim Demint of South Carolina resigned from the Senate in January to take over the Heritage Foundation. And in November, Florida Rep. Allen West, another conservative bomb thrower, lost reelection.

Is the Tea Party running out of steam?

My understanding is that the Honorable U.S. Congresswoman Michele Bachmann will not run for re-election in 2014 as the representative for Minnesota's sixth congressional district.

"I will continue to work overtime for the next 18 months in Congress defending the same constitutional conservative values we have worked so hard on together..." Bachmann said.

"There is no future option or opportunity, be it directly in the political arena or otherwise, that I won't be giving serious consideration if it can help save and protect our great nation." Bachmann said.

Her decision does not equate "Backmann Quits" as the title of this thread suggests.

I just find it odd that sometimes with a large number of our liberal friends, they're proclaimed tolerance looks more like bullying to the rest of us.

Because when someone copies the spirit of what you do, it's insensitive, but when you do it, it's patriotic and totally fitting.
