  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

God gave us the ablity & talent to make such things as ultrasounds that show us the different parts of our babies. So I think that yes God wants us to try and find out the gender if we so choose to do that. It is our own choice, and if God doesn't want us to find out the gender he will simple have the babe cross it's legs or be positioned in such a way that we cannot find out.

Didnt God let many people know the gender of their child before it was born in the Bible?

I dont think its a bad thing-- we have never partaken *voluntarily-- one accidental slip by midwife with #3* in finding out the sex of bub tho-- I just think its more fun to wait :D

My MIL believes that God told her the sex of her two grandsons before they were born. (In fact, a few years before I even met my husband she had a prophetic word that there would be a Daniel in her life, someone very important to her, so she was quite pleased that we named our son Daniel, we had no idea about this prophesy at all)

She was right by the way.

She beleives my SIL is having another boy. I have asked her what God is telling her about this baby, and she doesn't know. God hasn't told her anything. So I don't know what that's all about.

My son told me he was going to have a baby sister (also told my mother) before I even knew I was pregnant. Looking back, it was in the 2 weeks between ovulation and my missed period, although I did wait at least 2 weeks after my missed period to see if I was pregnant.

I don't see anything wrong with finding out the sex of the baby...if you want to know. I love to find out because I can then be prepared. I can buy the right clothes, it's easier to choose a name, and I can finally say "he" or "she". Not finding out is great, too. There's the excitement of finding out when the baby is born. Whatever you like. But I really don't think it's wrong to find out.
