  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

My fiance is the greatest!!
Tonight, we were starting to plan what sort of flowers we want for our wedding. (we're planning to do them ourselves). So we went to the grocery store/flower shop to see what sort of flowers are out there. While I was busy writing down various names of flowers we liked, he went and bought me a dozen red roses!! cuz he said we can't go looking at flowers without taking some home. He's so sweet!! heehee... I told him we'll have to go looking at flowers more often then! ;)

What has your SO done lately that was really sweet?

This might not seem like a whole lot, but last week I was sick with a fever and I was puking my guts out and could hardly eat anything for a couple days. So I was pretty much contained in my bedroom sleeping hours and hours. There wasn't a whole lot my girlfriend could do but whenever I'd check my phone there would be a thoughtful text message on my phone. Little things like that can really add up and be huge.

My boyfriend and I are currently 1400 miles apart (I get to go home and visit next week though!) and he never ceases to amaze me with how thoughtful he is. He'll stay up late just to hear about my day, and since I've been away about a month and a half, he's sent me packages, cards, lovey letters and little things I like. He calls, leaves me messages, sends me pictures he made of us, or poems he wrote about us.
He is a most sweet and wonderful man. I am so very blessed to be in relationship with him, and he with me.

Sometimes he sends e-cards and pictures of flowers or other stuff via email. He's played love songs for me a few times over the phone. Also I leave my MSN on all the time, and almost every night before he goes to sleep he leaves a message for me to find in the morning. I love those little messages...they really brighten my day!

My fiance does loads of sweet things! Like little texts in the morning.. once he read my entire CF journal just because he didn't know i had one for aggges.. :D (And anyone who knows how long my journal is would know just how sweet that is!)

Hm.. i remember a time when he was especially cute! I had sat in front of the computer for 6 long hours writing my origional writing for my english coursework. It was due the next day and i hadn't done it! When i'd finally typed it up i was just ready to print when my computer crashed! I couldn't stop crying.. if it wasnt in the next day i'd get my mark reduced by 25%.. so i rang him up and told him. He sat talking to me on the phone for hours and hours trying to make me feel better then i went to bed and when i woke up in the morning he'd written my entire coursework - emailed it to me! - with a note on the end saying good morning hunni, i love you so much! Dont be upset.. i've made it all better! :D :D :D :D

I got him some flowers today... I was at the grocery store anyway, so I stopped in at the flower shop area and put together a little bouquet for him. I didn't do a very good job of giving it to him though... he thought I just bought them as "experimenting" for ideas for our wedding flowers. He was going to class, and I handed the flowers to him, but he said "I can't take them now" (I guess he thought I wanted him to carry them for me??) So I asked what I was supposed to do with them- take them to his house for him? Then he figured it out that I got them for him, and said he'd never gotten flowers from anyone before. Is this normal? Do guys just never get flowers? To me that's sad!! I love getting flowers- don't guys like it to? And if they do, we should give them some sometimes!!! I think he really liked them! :D

My boyfriend writes me poetry on a fairly regular basis, which is so sweet. But the sweetest thing was on our anniversary, we were in the state park with the sun setting, and he recited a poem he wrote for me. It was the sweetest thing :)

Well, right now, I have 2 things to share. About a month or so ago, I had a cold and wasn't feeling my best. We'd gone out to eat and then come back to my house. We were sitting on the couch watching Law and Order. I leaned my head on his shoulder and got really sleepy, so I leaned back on the couch pillows. He covered me up (tucked me in) with a blanket and sat with me until the show was over with his hand on my shoulder. When it was over, he made sure I was all tucked in. He told me to promise him I'd get better, kissed my forehead, and left. That really touched my heart to be taken care of that way.

Then tonight, we were talking about our upcoming birthdays in November. We'll both be 21- Me on the 4th, Him on the 7th. But when I asked him what he wanted, he told me how he hadn't really thought about it. I said, "So think about it." He did and then he was like, "Well, I have you..." :)
