I think that's a terrible t-shirt. i don't think you can properly express sarcasm on a t-shirt unless it's extremely obvious... also it's way too long, and to compare people who spank to child molesters is.... well... not comparable...
Well, a number of people might not get it, but you run that risk no matter how simple you make it. As far as it being too long, that actually is a bit of a problem. But that would be fixed if all anti-corporal punishmenters would wear them on the same day. Of course, that would be far easier at a university than in general society.
As to the comparison... I think we should be careful to not let our emotions get in the way. You do realize that in some cultures in the past, and I have heard that it happens behind closed doors even today, though I haven't found scientific fact backing these claims, though it is understandable what that would be hard to get, it is actually considered positive to fondle your children?
Why you probably can't make the comparison is because, no matter your view on spanking, you think of loving, maybe misguided, but still loving parents spanking their children. You can only think of perverts who only want to abuse children fondling them. Yet, if possible, some loving, albeit it misguided parents, have in the past, and maybe still do fondle their children.
The History of Child Abuse

Consider a typical infanticidal, incestuous culture, the Bimin-Kuskusmin of New Guinea. As is so often true in pre-literate cultures, the mothers have long post-partum taboos against sex with their husbands, sleep naked against their children until they are about four years old, have [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] while nursing them and regularly touch them.
[/FONT][FONT=VERDANA, ARIAL, HELVETICA, GENEVA]Childhood in India begins, according to observers, with the child being regularly masturbated by the mother, the girl "to make her sleep well," the boy "to make him manly."

Childhood in contemporary Japan, although somewhat more Western than that of other Eastern nations, still includes masturbation by mothers "to put them to sleep."*
Keep reading down that paper, and you will see many more references of parents doing this to the children, sometimes as abuse, but sometimes trying to be a loving caring parent. Yeah, I know, the sheer audacity of that being possible still messes with my mind.[/FONT][FONT=VERDANA, ARIAL, HELVETICA, GENEVA]
I still want to think the speech is fake, a joke, but from all I can tell, it is real. Here is the Wikipedia of the author: Lloyd deMause - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.[/FONT]

*Please note this speech is around 10 years old, and many countries have made massive strides in how they view child abuse even in those 10 years.
