  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Jesus spoke this parable to his disciples.

When the Son of Man(Jesus) comes in all his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory. All the nations will be gathered before

him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from goats. He will put the sheep on his right on the goats on his left.

Then The king will say to those on his right, 'come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the Kingdom prepared for you since the creation of this

world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes

and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.

Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did see you a stranger and invite

you in, or in needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick in prison and go visit you?

The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'

Then he will say to those on his left, 'depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave

me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was

sick and in prison and you did not look after me'

They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?'

He will reply 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.'

Then they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.

Jesus also said 'So in everything, do to others what would have them do for you, for this sums up the law'.

About 25,000 people die every day of hunger or hunger-related causes, according to the United Nations.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-15
"Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose

again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus all those who have fallen asleep in him."

This sleeping generation needs to AWAKE.

Jesus said to John through his Revelation
'Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken your first love. Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do

not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place.' and furthermore 'I know you deeds; you have a reputation for being alive, but you are dead.

Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your deeds complete in the sight of my God. Remember, therefore, what you have received and

heard; obey it, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know what time I will come to you.'

Jesus said
'You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on a stand, and it

gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in Heaven.'

Jesus said
'But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what

is done in secret, will reward you.'

Jesus said
'For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open. Therefore consider carefully how you

listen.'

If these lights stop shining, you are asleep.

Genesis 6:5-6
"The Lord saw how great man's wickedness had become and that every inclination of his heart was only evil all the time."

Jesus servant Paul, in his letter, wrote to Timothy
'Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners - of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I

was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example to those who might believe on him and recieve

eternal life.'

What Paul said is certainly meant to be accepted by all Christians today. Remember the height from which you have fallen.

Jesus said
'Out of the overflow of his heart, a man speaks.' and 'Listen and understand. What goes into a man's mouth does not make him "unclean", but what comes out of his

mouth, that is what makes him "unclean".'

Jesus said through his Revelation to John
'I am he who searches hearts and minds'

Indeed, right now, Jesus is searching your heart and mind. The very hairs on your head are numbered. Jesus knows when you sit and when you rise; he percieves your

thoughts from afar.

Simeon who spoke to Mary in the Spirit of God about Jesus after his birth said
'This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against, so that the thoughts of many hearts

will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your own soul too.'

Jesus said
'Two men owed money to a certain moneylender. One owed him five hundred denari, and the other fifty. Neither of them had the money to pay him back, so he canceled the

debts of both. Now which of them will love him more?'

Jesus said
'He who has been forgiven little loves little.'

The healing of our hard heart's through Jesus death and resurrection is meant to hurt. We are to acknowledge we hurt God every day. We are to acknowledge his

infinite mercy and grace every day when we repent of our wicked thoughts and actions. Do not be decieved, God is a God of real, pure love. He doesn't want to burden

his people; it is good for our heart and soul to acknowldge his grace everyday when we call on him for forgiveness. Only by grace are things revealed which we should

repent. When we are graced with an oppurtunity to repent, we must take it - the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.

Jesus servant John wrote in his letter to the believers
'Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates his brother is still in the darkness.'

Jesus servant Paul,in his letter, wrote to all in Rome called saints
'I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For what I do is not the

good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do - this I keep doing.'

Paul said this by the Spirit of Jesus because these things were revealed to him; he had grasped an idea of the sin present in his heart.

Luke 24:45-49
"Then he(Jesus) opened their minds so they could understand the scriptures. He told them, 'This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on

the third day, and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.' "

Do not think we can open our own minds, we need to pray for this. This generation is asleep.

Jesus said
'Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners that all the other Galileans because they sufferred this way? I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too

will all perish.'

John the Baptist, who exorted the people to prepare for Jesus
'Bear fruit in keeping with repentance.'

Jesus said
'I tell you the truth, Among those born of women there are none greater than John the Baptist; yet the least in the Kingdom of God is greater than he'

How could John the Baptist be least in the Kingdom of Heaven if he did the greatest deeds for God on earth? The truth is we are all loved equally in the Kingdom of

Heaven, only God stands out, as he is holy. Us men do not compare; our value is found in God's love for us. It is not ever about what we do, only what Jesus has done.

God alone is good. Not us - therefore we should not judge any of the saints, we need to unite. Unity has disappeared because people have rejected love and their

own oppinions for Christianity has become more important that unity. Christ prayed to the Father that us believers would be one as him and the Father were one.

All denominations should unite as much as possible for denominations have been made when one man's oppinions has become more important than unity of the believers;

believers would prefer seperate rather than love and accept other believers. Paul wrote by the Spirit of God "Therefore, if what I eat causes my brother to fall

into sin, I will never eat meat again, so that I will not cause him to fall." By rejecting the unity Jesus prayed for, we not only cause our brothers to fall

but we create a tainted image of what Christianity is meant to be - unity in perfect love; unity in a perfect God. God wants all to be saved; God wants all the

non-believers to look to the love of his body (the church - the love of the believers) and see that these teachings of love are from him - God is love.

Jesus said
'I am the true vine, and my father is the gardner. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it

will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by

itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him,

he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not remain in me, he is like the branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are

picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. This is to my Father's

glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.'

Matthew 21:43-44
Jesus said
'Therefore I tell you that the Kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit. He who falls on this stone will be broken

to pieces, but he on whom it falls will be crushed'.

Jesus said
'If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his

life for me will save it. What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit his very self? If anyone is ashamed of me and my words, the Son

of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.

Jesus said
'The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness.'

and ' Why do you look at the speck of saw dust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye'

Does this not mean we should not judge others by how they worship the Living true God, Jesus. We are not able to guide our brothers with our words as our hearts are

full of sin; only by sincere prayer we can make a difference.

(NLV) Matthew 11:16-17
Jesus said
To what can I compare this generation? It is like children playing a game in the public square. They complain to their friends, We played wedding songs, and you

didn't dance, so we played funeral songs, and you didn't mourn.'

Jesus prayed
'I pray also for those who might believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in

us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.'

God is love. He is the love within us which we have for people. The love for our Mums, Dads, brothers and sisters. Do not be decieved, all good things come from God.
Love is good. Love freely as Jesus does.

Jesus said
'The Kingdom of God does not come with your careful observation, nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the Kingdom of God is within you.'

1 John 4:8
'Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. '

Proverbs 9:1
'Wisdom has built her house; she has hewn out its seven pillars.'

Revelation 4:5
'And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.'

From 1 Corinithians 13, the seven Spirits of God can be revealed
Love is patient, kind, rejoices in the truth, protects, trusts, hopes and perseveres.

This is the truth.

Paul wrote
Do no misled: 'Bad company corrupts good character'. Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God - I say this

to shame you."

What is our company? If we have the wrong motivation for being around people, we will be corrupted.

People are treasure. People are to be invested into with love; God is love. People are hurt and want to be loved. Love heals - God is love. Invest your heart into

people; where your heart is found your treasure will be also. Set your eyes on treasure which moth and rust cannot destroy. Believe love has the power to do these

things. The Kingdom of Heaven does not come with care observation, nor will people say 'here it is' or 'there it is' because the Kingdom of God is within you. The

Kingdom of Heaven is Jesus' love. Jesus loves all people equally. All love comes from Jesus - Whether saying it to Mum or recieving an anonymous gift. If your love

is found in people, you want them to be saved, as God does; you share something in common with the living God. God wants all to be saved, do not be decieved. It is

not for us to judge in our minds who he wants to be saved; this is done when we judge someone God loves. It is up to us to proclaim his love; live a life of free love.

1 Peter 4:7
'Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so you can pray. Above all, love eachother deeply, because love covers a multitude of sins'

Jesus said many times
'Take heart' and 'Do not be afraid'

Do not be afraid, God loves us infinitely and wants us to love him and all people.

Well, yes, that's one way to look at things.

However, I look at the phrase "those that sleep" as being those believers who are no longer living... those who died prior to the age of grace...

be well.

Friend, those that sleep refer to the parable that Jesus told

Mk 13:33-37 Watch, keep alert, and pray; for you don’t know when the time is. "It is like a man, traveling to another country, having left his house, and given authority to his servants, and to each one his work, and also commanded the doorkeeper to keep watch. Watch therefore, for you don’t know when the lord of the house is coming, whether at evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or in the morning; lest coming suddenly he might find you sleeping. What I tell you, I tell all: Watch."

Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak

God has always been graceful as he never changes like man. Define age of grace.
