I guess once I go into the monastery this won't be an issue anymore. But one of my favorite artists was Avril Lavigne. She has always had an "attitude" but most of her songs have been pretty clean and in fact one song was actually about purity on her last album. Here is part of the lyrics for that song...

Now...Avril has totally made a 180 degree turn and her new song "Girlfriend" is about every kind of immorality and impurity you can think of. Here is part of the lyrics of that song...edited of course..

But unfortunately, every time I have the radio on this song is being played. It's one of the top songs on the charts. I really pray for Avril and for all her fans that will be influenced by her immoral music.
I realize there are others worse than her but this is just sad that someone that has the talent Avril has would throw it away and write trash like this.
