  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Avoid COVID exposure by avoiding these places ...

Biologist: Avoid these types of places to protect yourself as reopening occurs ...

University of Massachusettes Darthmouth professor of Biology gives pointers on avoiding circumstances which are more prone to easy spread of the Coronavirus.

Places to avoid are close quarters inside of buildings with little air circulation.

Activities which are most dangerous inside such settings are singing, laughing, loud talking, etc. ... as it is speculated that such activity might aerosolize the virus so that it hangs in the air ... and becomes capable of infecting nearly everyone in the space.

The interviewer and professor discuss actual settings ... such as a church choir rehearsal, call center, restaurant, etc. ... where super-spreader events have occurred.

The professor advises his hearers to use the information presented to make personal informed decisions which allow them to stay out of ... and away from circumstances which are more concerning for the spread of COVID 19.

Masks are recommended ... as well as continuing to practice social distancing when in public settings.

Singing is worse than regular talking. Wearing a mask discourages talking. One more good reason for people to wear a mask.

Indoors with a lot of people -- that is the high risk. Noisy is a tip off that you have a problem, louder you talk the more droplets you release.

[STAFF EDITED DELETED QUOTE]

The Lord said that when He returned the "cry would go out 'here's the bridegroom' go out to meet Him". The cry has gone out, so, "go out to meet Him". You had 2,000 years to have your lamp lit and your vessel filled with oil, now it is time to trim your lamps and for those who are ready to meet the Lord.
