Autumn Healing

I closed my eyes
the nightmares were waiting
enveloping me
and terrifying me
God, I prayed, Save me
I felt a cool breeze and could hear a leaf fall
I could hear my mom in the kitchen and could
smell apple cider
God, I prayed, Save me
When I opened my eyes the nightmares were gone
I could feel God in my soul
comforting me
knowing me
showing me he would never leave me
I could feel him in the cool wind
I could hear him in the comforting crisp air
In the warmth of the kitchen I could sense his love
He would never leave me, I knew this
