God establishes authority over things in order to control them and to make them a blessing.
We have the light for safety.
We have a day of rest in order to control our use of time.
We have dietary restrictions in order to stay healthy.
We also have the tithe to control our resources.
All in all its a matter of blessing us beyond measure, as having enough faith to believe and obey is his purpose for our lives.
God's intention is to bless us through these things as a manifestation of his good will toward mankind with us as a living example.
A matter of recognizing his authority over our lives, and our authority as believers to make it happen on a daily basis.
