Australian Bushfires.

Whooooaaaa!!!!! This forum has exploded with people and posts over. Night, also my browser was loading very fast.

This is the grave report of the Australian bushfires that I've heard this morning and have witnessed:

It is nauseating to breathe, the smoke covers the earth as low fog and I'm at least 200 km from the bushfires.

It's a fear that the fires will merge into one massive fire, ans the really bad news is a 40 degrees celcius day is expected.

A few months ago my church went to a wonderful bush SDA owned camp-ground called Camp Howqua along the Howqua river. But it will probably be evacuated soon.

Because of our droughts the camp was struggling for water. All the fire fighters and helicopters are taking water from the river, the water supply for that area, which is almost empty anyway.

So it’s almost good bye to my favorite camp ground, we were planning to go every year as a church. If it's not burnt down it will run out of water. No supplies of water and the main attraction, the Howqua river will be empty. It will be uninhabitable for a while.. The camp was going to struggle through the fires anyway.

Everyone please pray for the fires,the people, their land and the Camp.

It is the worst start to the bushfire season ever. Even the water here 200km away smells smoky. Thankfully no lives threatened yet, but houses gone and land. Much bush is lost. Some silly people are staying to defend there house, but they have no chance of defeating a massive wall of fire coming from each direction.

So once again I earnestly ask you all will pray!!!

Just to add, all these fires were caused by lightning!!!
Anyway off the bad stuff, happy sabbath, and at it's a good hope the lord will come soon and stop bush fires.

We need rain, all over this wonderful land.

Its all such a foreign concept to me, in New Zealand, we are so cold, so instead we experience mass-flooding up north.

I did not realise it was so bad myself until I looked in the Paper tonight after Sabbath.

Thank you all for praying. It's weird how Australia and New zealand can be so different. Where the fires are is one of Australias coldest parts and yesterday was 37 degrees celcius and today is 35.

I heard another thing about the Victorian bushfires. If all the fires join together, which they are very close to doing the front of the fire wall will extend 100km long, which if not stopped would easily tear across Victoria wiping out the whole state.

So I will and can you all please keep praying....

It is... Not for me, all I've got is a smoke covering like fog, 200 km away. I feel for all the people amongst it, having to evacuate their houses..

As feared the Victorian fires have joined up to make a fire wall 250km long. But no towns yet only bush!!

Overnight the Tasmanian bushfires have gone off and destroyed 18 homes and lands, probably farms with all the livestock.

The AUS, NZ firefighters, the Army and soon to be the US firefighters are fighting the fires. Yet the teams have had no chance stopping it. Ditches dug to help stop it just get burnt. The method of soaking the surroundings in water, dosn't work because the water evaporates while the fire is a long way off..

Fires massive today and an arsenist has lit another one which has merged with the big ones. Finally lands and houses are being consumed in Victoria and Tasmania.
