I've been waiting for our ABC to cover this story for a long time.

Fox News is the brash cable TV network that has dominated both the ratings and the headlines in America, delivering revenue and power to the Murdoch family empire. For decades its catch cry was “fair and balanced.” Then along came Donald Trump. Four Corners investigates how Fox News went from a conservative voice to a 'propaganda organ' for Donald Trump that some former reporters say they're 'ashamed' to be associated with.

More at the accompanying article here

"I'm not saying it was run better. I'm saying that I don't believe he would have allowed it to get to this point," she told Four Corners.
By "this point", she means Fox's surrender to Donald Trump during his presidency and the network's role in amplifying Trump's lies that the election was stolen from him. The claims of mass election fraud in the 2020 election provoked the insurrection at the Capitol on January 6.
Fox News didn't send the mob, but its worst outrage generators certainly fed their anger.
"I think that they allowed the former president to dictate what news they put out to the American people … We're in a dangerous political climate in our country right now, sort of on the precipice of whether or not we're going to actually believe facts or we're not," Carlson said.

Yes, there is little balance anymore.
What is sort of funny with Fox is all the positive talk and then it ends up their optimism was rose-colored glasses. They did this all throughout the Trump trial. Granted I still think Trump will win at something on appeal, Fox talking heads mostly thought he could not be found guilty at least based on their coverage.

The Democratic leaning stations are similar. Many stations too will do interviews and give the questions out to the candidate ahead of time. Seems news has developed to cater to whatever the listeners want. Sort of like some preacher's tickling the ears of weak minded congregations.
