Hey. There is something I absolutely have to share here!
My Aunt's Story about her battle with Covid-19.
Back in April of 2021, she was rushed to the hospital with her heart nearly stopped. She was escorted inside the ER by her husband, and she blacked out in the parking lot hitting her head on the pavement.
She ended up spending 17 days on a ventilator, and 53 days total in the icu.
When she came home it took a LONG time for her to get back to her normal self- and frankly she really hasn't yet.
She's a better version of herself.
She lost her voice and destroyed one of her vocal cords due to the tubes and such. She did speech therapy for almost a half a year before she could talk.
She has been leading worship at various churches for as long as I can remember. And she was always shy and sang softly. She has an anxiety disorder and was terrified.
But today. TODAY!
She lead a worship night at her church. My Grams and I went. It was phenominal.
You know how you can just feel the holy spirit in a room? The congregation was singing together- so loud and calm that you could hear it over the music.
But the best part- my Aunt did AMAZING. She literally sounded angelic. Her voice is different since COVID.
It gets better though- she sang more than one song solo today. And her voice was so powerful and loud and ... perfect.
I literally can't put into words how beautiful she sounded. And it takes so much courage for her to talk to people in general, let alone be that outgoing in front on a congregation and then new strangers for the night.
I am beyond blessed to have my best friend here. I don't know what I would do without her.
There are so many things I want to say to her, to God about her. But there are no words strong enough to express my gratitude towards the Good Lord.
All I can say right now is Hallelujah. Praise God!
For with Christ All things are possible (Philippians 4:13)
