I'm finding it very difficult to find some parents I can talk with who are in the same boat as me. We are Christians, and parents to a beautiful 13 month old daughter, but unlike a lot of our Christian friends, we parent along the AP style much more closely than the "typical" Christian families.

Most of the AP style parents I know are not Christians either so I'm finding having people to talk to about certain things is difficult.

I'm just wondering are there any parents like me on this board? It would be lovely to be able to share some experience with others like myself and maybe use this as a thread to come one when you need advice that will be Godly yet Ap style also. :)

I'm not certain how "attached" you consider attachment parenting, but our kids slept in our bed when they were young, and I was a stay-at-home dad who carried the kids around in a front-pack when they were tiny and a back-pack when they were older (up to 30 lbs.).

But...I didn't hover over them either. I gave them lots of supervised exploration time by themselves in playgrounds and in our fenced yard.

Does this help?

Ah yes! I'm so glad to finally meet with people who parent like we do. Refreshing, I will admit that I've never heard of "Grace based Dicipline before but it sounds exactly like the reason we chose to parent this way. God is love and I believe I should extend that to my child(ren).

Has anyone else found theyve come up against alot of "hhhmmmmmmming" and frowning among other parent friends?
