Im creating this thread in response to this malarkey:

so how about it atheists?  We have our own private little thread now where those darn believers can't interfere, how can WE better spend our time?  We clearly aren't getting new de-converts here, (wait, I take that back, we got one: http://www.christianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=18044)
but SURELY there is a better way we can spend our time than engaging in simple, repsectful, Q & A with our neighbors, especially since they don't seem interested in talking with us if they can't convert us...

I for one, think I'm going to completely shut off contact with all believers and just completely ignore them.  I mean, if they don't want to denounce god, then I don't feel like wasting my time on them.  I mean, whats the point of having a DISCUSSION if no one is going to change their minds?

Conveying information, sharing ideas, educating the uneducated and performing the public service of bothering to respond to nepetreley's posts is not NEARLY as important as winning recruits, now is it?

Thoughts?  Comments?  Suggestions?

again: heathens only please... *laughs good naturedly* I mean, we wouldnt want believers to post on a forum that specifically states they can post, right?  Aaaahhhh... nothing like a little informal censorship on a forum that is made specifically for anyone to post on, eh?

yes, kicking and screaming all the way back I'm sure... so, is this like the mormon policy of not removing people's names from their roster, even after they write letters to headquarters in SLC, renouncing their religion?

not at all raging....the mormons do have so wacky ideas, do they not? All I do is present Truth to a person, answer the questions that they have and that's it. My job isn't to reap the crop, simply to plant the seeds.

The reason I even posted on here is because your opening statement sounded just like something Screwtape or Wormwood would have said.

RG,I dont think we should ever give up on humanity.after all it is humanity that we are all cocerned about.The bible doesnt seemed to concerned with humanity,only christians.There are alot of people out there that are on the edge and could fall either way.I agree at some point in a thread you just have to stop,because christianity promotes a closed mind.but minds do change.

If I'm not mistaken RA opened this thread as a mildly devious response to another thread entitled Christian Apologists ONLY in a Forum clearly and specially labelled "Primarily for Christian and non-Christian interaction."

While RA's gambit is mildly amusing, it's not quite as comical as the "Christian Apologists ONLY" thread, which contained the apparently earnest suggestion that "atheists" would do well to acquaint themselves with the laughable and arbitrary presuppositionalism of Alvin Plantinga before venturing forth and engaging the superior intellectual skills of "Christian apologists."

That admonition was funny enough all by itself.

Yes, perhaps I should be more specific next time.  How about this.

1) That thread recommends the cessation of discussion on a DISCUSSION BOARD, simply because no one is being converted.  A completely idiotic notion that several Christians are taking seriously...

2) That thread also attempts to censor input from non-Christians despite being posted on a section of the forum that is explicitly made for everyone.  Why not post it on all the other boards here that have been deemed Christian-only by the owner? I know the answer, but my momma always said that if I don't have anything nice to say...

There.  That better for all the people who didn't bother to actually read the link I provided and who missed my sarcasm?
