Atheist and Christian perspectives

hey guys,

i need some information on the beliefs on the: 1) origins on the universe and 2) life after phyisical death- from both an atheists and christian view.
also the actions of both a christian and a atheist in the area of: 1)social reponsibility and 2) community involvement and outreach.

i would really love information from first hand experience but also any knowledge you have or websites or book which will be useful are greatly appreciated.

Maybe you should bring this up in the open forum for the atheist perspective.

The Christian pespective as I understand it: 1) God created by the power of His word (otherwise absolute Truth becomes relative Truth 2) there is life after death.

social resposibility 1) love our neighbors as Christ has loved us, be good stewards of what God has given us.

There are statistics out on charitable giving--you'd probably have to wade through a lot--but Christians represent a high proportion, at least in the US.

One of the afterlife differences:

Christians believe that we don't get to heaven on our own deserving, but through faith in God's promise to get us there and absolve us. That's unique to other religions' view of heaven/afterlife.
