  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I wonder if there's anyone here who, if it were possible to vaccinate one's child against atheism or apostasy, would do so.

I'm sure they would, in the same way they'd vaccinate against homosexuality, transgenderism, etc.

Can the same be said for the opposite? (Think Communist Russia?) No, it's truth right?

I would never support the brainwashing of any child into any worldview, secular or otherwise.

It's a subjective term, honestly. Most people are quick to call what they don't like brainwashing, like raising a kid in a Christian home or something.

That would remove free will. God would not be impressed.

Would abortion be an effective theism vaccine, since we're naturally atheists and all?
Who told you we are naturally atheists? Bollox as the folk across the pond say. As newborns have no sense of individuality and cannot distinguish between themselves and their external environment they are therefore pantheists. :p

Edit: Or maybe solopsists

Such a vaccine already exists. It's called applying reason to our observations of the world around us.

In any event, a vaccine wouldn't do them any good, anyway. They don't need to be innoculated against atheism. They need to be born again.

I don't think reason is a suitable analogy for a vaccine, or vice versa.
