Yes, a number of them do, but not always for the same reasons or in the same way. But yeah, science and/or logic often tend to be their "go to" references of cognitive defense.

If you do Christianity right, I would argue that it results in a deeper happiness.
Take Saint Therese of Lisieux. She silently endured tuberculosis and died at the age of 24, as a nun. But she embraced suffering as sharing in the sufferings of Christ, and said suffering was as to joy for her.

Multiple wives and huge families likewise. People worry about the rise of China as a superpower. Islam is the greater threat to world peace.
